Overview

The Systems Group is seeking a committed Combo Pipe Welder in Crawfordsville, IN, to contribute to the operations of the steel industry. The ideal candidate will help address daily challenges while aligning with the company's mission of providing engineered solutions for a safer and more productive steel industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before assembly.
  • Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipe, and tube or structural shapes as specified.
  • Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
  • Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
  • Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Requirements

  • Combo Pipe Welding experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to observe and recognize problems during the welding process.
  • Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans.
  • Must be able to properly use tools.
  • Must be able to weld both carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
  • Must be able to do basic math and make precise measurements.
  • Use stick, mig, tig, and flux core welding techniques.

Additional Information

  • Pay rate is up to $32/hour.
  • Work hours range from 40-48 hours weekly.
  • OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots are provided with an annual company allowance.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and qualification test coupons.
