Overview

KSM Industries is seeking a Welder to perform MIG welding on mild steel and ensure compliance with customer specifications. The role involves reading blueprints, maintaining safety standards, and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld on mild steel from 20 gauge up to ¼” thickness.
• Complete weld jobs using different fixtures/jigs, open table set up, and work instructions.
• Read weld symbols and blueprints to perform necessary job set ups.
• Qualify to necessary weld specifications including AWS, ASME IX, and NAVSEA certifications.
• Use conventional and precision measuring tools.
• Follow safety rules and use safe work practices.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/welding environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of work shift.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
