Overview
The Welder position requires individuals to work under the direction of a Foreman, possessing a high level of skill in industrial maintenance, turnaround, construction, or mechanical environments. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values.
- Represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy for Quality Control.
- Prepare Job Hazard Analyses and serve as designated safety watch.
- Rigging, signaling, and flagging for heavy-construction lifts.
- Remove and replace exchangers, vessels, pumps, and related equipment according to procedures.
- Dismantle and reinstall piping systems while ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Service vessels, tower internals, fin fans, and coolers for reliable performance.
- Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment for safe and efficient operation.
- Execute demolition activities and oxy-fuel cutting operations safely.
- Operate forklifts, extenda booms, and bundle trucks while ensuring safety compliance.
- Work well with supervision and may train and supervise apprentices.
- Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ maintenance experience in a refinery environment.
- Thorough understanding of industrial maintenance work and expertise in basic hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble refinery equipment.
- Proficient in running several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.).
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Ability to logically diagnose and solve complex equipment issues independently.
- Good hand-eye coordination for working with small parts.
- Must pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete NCCER certification.
- Complete the Company’s Safety training and other required trainings.
- Must obtain and maintain active status within the drug testing program.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a TWIC card.

Additional Information
- Employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift.
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
