Overview
The Industrial Mechanic w/ Electrical position involves repairing and maintaining plastic molding machinery and mechanical equipment, utilizing various tools and reading blueprints. The role is with Mauser Packaging Solutions, a company focused on innovation and sustainability in packaging.
Responsibilities
- Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of PPE.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment.
- Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines.
- Observe and listen to mechanical devices to locate problems.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
- Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain standards.
- Complete work orders to maintain safety and improve efficiency.
- Follow safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and initiate remedial action.
- Repair equipment to improve production availability and reliability.
- Collect and analyze work delay codes to identify challenges.
- Ensure preventative maintenance compliance and document repair history.
- Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three to five years of work experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Technician in a manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge and experience with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
- Ability to use both MIG and ARC welders.
- Ability to order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance materials.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and components.
- Working knowledge of Automation, Industrial Process, and Control systems.
- Experience with Facility Maintenance and Plant Equipment.
- Planning, scheduling, and assigning abilities with experience in defining priorities.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
