Overview
The Temporary Senior Electrical Assembling Technician at JAE Houston, LLC will inspect and repair directional module packages and similar products for the oil and gas industries during a medical leave. This position is non-exempt and reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of units returned for repair against NCR.
- Remove RTV adhesives without damaging chassis, wire harness, components, and other parts.
- Replace damaged parts with new parts in correct position and proper alignment.
- Solder using HMP and PB86 solder.
- Inspect work performed as part of own repair and of other technicians.
- Apply adhesive or RTV on the repaired units.
- Enter defect information and repair work data.
- Conduct visual outgoing inspection of repaired units.
- Train new repair technicians.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; prior IPC certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in HMP and/or PB86 soldering, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skillful high temperature soldering experience in electrical assembly, wire stripping, and tinning.
- Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Attention to detail to maintain high standards of quality in repair tasks.

- The position requires lifting up to 20 pounds frequently.
