Mechanics at Centuri perform maintenance service on construction vehicles and large equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of small engines, both gas and diesel.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
  • Maintain inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and part inventories.
  • Coordinate work with operations and maintain communication for scheduling repairs and PMs.
  • Provide after-hours support for critical timelines when needed.
  • Diagnose and correct electrical problems.
  • Use pneumatic tools for construction equipment.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of construction related equipment.
  • Existing CDL or ability/willingness to obtain Class A CDL.

Additional Information

  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be fluent in English as all worksite safety instructions are in English.
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice.
  • Work is performed within the 'red zone' of heavy equipment.
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
