Responsibilities
- Set up a Swiss‑style CNC lathe for small‑diameter, tight‑tolerance part runs.
- Select and install guide bushings, collets, and specialized tooling.
- Load and refine Swiss‑type programs and dial in tool offsets.
- Run the first article and verify features to ±0.0002" using precision tools.
- Monitor tool wear and make micro‑adjustments to optimize production.
- Manage bar feeders for high‑volume throughput and quality.
- Troubleshoot issues such as chatter, deflection, and tool breakage.
- Maintain a clean and organized machine setup for repeatability.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of Swiss machining experience.
- Mastery of tight‑tolerance, small‑diameter work.
- Hands‑on experience with Tsugami or comparable Swiss machines.
- Blueprint fluency and solid GD&T comprehension.
- Confidence with precision measurement tools.
- Comfort with bar feeders and high‑volume production environments.
- Familiarity with challenging materials such as titanium and stainless steel.
- High attention to detail and consistency.
