Job Description
Overview
MIANAI ABROAD is seeking a Production Equipment Technician to maintain production equipment and ensure maximum availability, reliability, and operational efficiency for a client in New York. The role includes performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting installations and repairs of production systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-related equipment issues
- Respond promptly to technical support requests to minimize downtime
- Log maintenance activities and work orders through FIIX or similar tracking systems
- Install electrical wiring, controls, and production-related equipment
- Support equipment relocations and new equipment installations
- Track parts usage and assist with inventory management recommendations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical/Vocational education preferred
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
