Overview
Vanderlande is a global leader in logistics process automation, focusing on automated material handling systems for airports, warehouses, and parcel operations. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintenance activities on assigned shifts, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains machinery and electrical equipment.
- Exercises safe working practices, complying with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
- Prepares and executes service calls, Emergency Maintenance, and Corrective Maintenance.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance and follows up on Corrective Maintenance work orders.
- Reports service calls to management.
- Advises and executes optimization of (sub) systems.
- Analyzes system performance.
- Occasionally monitors the system from the Control Room.
- Develops service supporting tools and means.
- Completes CMMS Service reports, parts usage, and warranty records.
- Researches and requests spare parts as required.
- Works independently on preventive maintenance.
- Identifies problems in planning and tooling and provides input for improvements.
- Independently corrects standard faults.
- Trains, instructs, and gives guidance to mechanics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience hands-on with electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum 2 years of material handling experience (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year CMMS experience (preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (preferred).
- Good working knowledge of high and low level control systems (preferred).
