Overview

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join their Manufacturing team, playing a critical role in the assembly of high-quality lighting products through precision soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection activities. The company is a global leader in aviation technology, focused on innovation and enhancing in-flight experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and diagrams for accurate component placement.
  • Inspect and test soldered connections for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records and quality data.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and manufacturing best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience assembling electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Proficiency using soldering tools and inspection instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or soldering techniques.
  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards.
  • Experience performing visual inspections and functional testing of electronic assemblies.

Additional Information

  • Normal working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch.
  • Location: Addison, Texas, On-site.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
