Overview
Heads Up Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join their Manufacturing team, playing a critical role in the assembly of high-quality lighting products through precision soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection activities. The company is a global leader in aviation technology, focused on innovation and enhancing in-flight experiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform precise soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and diagrams for accurate component placement.
- Inspect and test soldered connections for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly-related issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and quality data.
- Adhere to all safety policies and manufacturing best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience assembling electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
- Proficiency using soldering tools and inspection instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
- Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or soldering techniques.
- Experience working in aerospace, aviation, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards.
- Experience performing visual inspections and functional testing of electronic assemblies.

Additional Information
- Normal working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch.
- Location: Addison, Texas, On-site.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
