Overview

At Klein Tools, curiosity powers discovery and ownership inspires excellence. The Manufacturing Team Member III is responsible for operating and troubleshooting various types of semi-automated equipment to produce quality parts while maintaining productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe, injection molding, and other semi-automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine issues by diagnosing breakdowns and replacing defective components.
• Run production jobs according to written or verbal work instructions.
• Inspect product quality throughout production using measuring tools and record findings.
• Read work orders and blueprints to ensure accurate machine setup and product quality.
• Perform offsets and adjustments to maintain part specifications and quality standards.
• Complete machine setups including changing fixtures and loading programs.
• Perform general machine maintenance such as cleaning and checking oil and coolant levels.
• Report accurate counts of production parts, scrap, and labor hours.
• Comply with established 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years of related experience is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge in operating CNC, milling, grinding, or injection molding machines preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions.
• Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
• Ability to obtain a Klein provided crane certification may be required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by the company is required.
