Overview

U-Haul Company is seeking a resourceful MIG Welder to join their manufacturing team, where welders will utilize their skills to weld trucks, trailers, and support equipment for the largest do-it-yourself moving company in the world. The company promotes a fast hiring process and offers immediate pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform all-position MIG welding to join steel and aluminum metals from 1/16" to 1" thick plate.
• Interpret and carry out work orders, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Clamp parts into jigs or holding fixtures.
• Clean burrs, spatter, and weld flux from assemblies.
• Hand-count material for inventory purposes.
• Wear and maintain protective clothing and equipment including a welding helmet, gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses, and steel-toe safety shoes.
• Follow all safety practices during assembly and production operations and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Requirements

• Successfully complete a plant-administered welding test.
• Regular attendance is essential.
