Overview

Chart Industries is seeking a Manual Machinist III for their Tully Town, PA facility. The role involves performing complete repairs on customer equipment in a fast-paced environment, focusing on quality, safety, and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills and lathes efficiently and accurately.
• Lay out work and produce quality parts.
• Decipher sketches, blueprints, and engineering details.
• Assist in establishing setup and layout methods and order of operations.
• Carry jobs from raw materials to finished products based on drawings or verbal instructions.
• Sharpen, rework, reset, and repair cutting tools.
• Inspect and check parts being produced.
• Maintain accurate production records and job history.
• Perform minor machine maintenance activities.
• Work at different stations as per production requirements.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform any other assigned duties as directed by management.
• Operate manual and automated cleaning equipment.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of machining experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of machine uses and manufacturing materials.
• Advanced knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Reciprocating Compressor experience is a plus but not required.
