Overview

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician supports a low-volume, semi-automated light assembly operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and fixtures, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to support production activities and equipment.
  • Partner with Engineering to evaluate, test, validate, and implement new production assembly tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
  • Maintain spare parts lists and manage Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, while performing required PM activities.
  • Support daily production by testing and troubleshooting equipment issues and determining root causes.
  • Achieve targets for improvements in process cycle time, yield, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Support and drive lean manufacturing, waste elimination, standard work, and work cell concepts.
  • Utilize optical comparator to measure and verify fixture, tooling, and component dimensions.
  • Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
  • Adhere to the principles of '5S' to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training and process improvement activities.
  • Comply with all ICC Policies and applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 2+ years Technical or Trade school in engineering or equipment technology preferred.
  • 3+ years industry experience supporting volume manufacturing.
  • Excellent comprehension of engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures.
  • 2-3 years hands-on manufacturing tooling and fixture experience required.
  • 2-3 years PLC programming or similar electronic equipment controller programming required.
  • Interconnect, fiber optics, and cable/harness assembly experience a plus.
  • Aerospace & defense experience a plus.
  • AS9100D/ISO9001 experience a plus.
  • Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD, AutoCAD, ProE preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
