Overview

BrandSafway is seeking a Corrosion Control Technician II to join their Field Services Team within the Engineering Department. The company specializes in cathodic protection and corrosion prevention, providing services to various industries for over 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and advanced test methods to evaluate the efficacy of a cathodic protection (CP) system.
• Perform stray current and AC interference studies.
• Perform adjustments and repairs on CP systems.
• Oversee cathodic protection installation and survey efforts as an inspector and field trainer.
• Perform Operator Qualification evaluations.
• Perform pipeline survey methods (CIS, ACVG, DCVG, ACCA, etc.) in support of an external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA).
• Gather data in support of CP and AC mitigation design.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot CP rectifiers.
• Evaluate and compile data in an organized manner for submission to Engineering.
• Adhere to client and MATCOR safety requirements.
• Maintain client relationships to meet customer expectations.
• Ability to work alone or in a team setting with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• AMPP CP 2 certification preferred (CP1 required).
• Required 3 years of experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be willing to travel at least 75%.

• Must be able to travel and stay near job sites for up to 3 weeks.
