The Field Service Technician role involves performing service and maintenance on various equipment while contributing to productive customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and perform service, troubleshoot on equipment such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists.
  • Follow applicable safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
  • Stay updated with technical developments and complete technical courses as instructed.
  • Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize satisfaction.
  • Maintain documentation and submit daily reports as specified.
  • Recognize sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager.
  • Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
  • Promote a positive image of the Hiab brand and adhere to Quality System rules.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations experience.
  • Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Own tools required.
  • Know and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures.
