The Field Service Technician role involves performing service and maintenance on various equipment while contributing to productive customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform service, troubleshoot on equipment such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists.
- Follow applicable safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
- Stay updated with technical developments and complete technical courses as instructed.
- Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize satisfaction.
- Maintain documentation and submit daily reports as specified.
- Recognize sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager.
- Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
- Promote a positive image of the Hiab brand and adhere to Quality System rules.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations experience.
- Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Own tools required.
- Know and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures.
