Overview

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Field Engineer specializing in Electrical to join their team. The role involves working in multi-disciplinary teams to support various industry projects, ensuring quality and compliance while providing technical direction to craft workers.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings for constructability and provide interpretation to craft and/or installation subcontractors.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, project schedule adherence and compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes through regular inspections.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with the preparation of field material requisitions.
• Conduct site visits for the purpose of producing daily reports of the work and/or subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate input to the quantity tracking and progress database used for measuring project completion.
• Monitor actual cost versus budget.
• Prepare punch lists to track incomplete work.
• Attend subcontractor bid walks and assist in bid evaluations to support subcontract award.
• Maintain the highest level of safety awareness and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve months or upcoming twelve months.
• Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
• Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
• Prior co-op or internship experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Practical work experience in a construction environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages (preferably Spanish, Arabic, or French).
