Overview

As a Service Technician II, you will perform a variety of high-level activities related to truck body and trailers, including diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic issues, disassembling and reassembling truck bodies, and completing upfit jobs. The role requires advanced mechanical skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete non-standard upfit jobs and service repair work that may require problem solving, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
• Perform chassis prep, body mount, repair, 12v electrical work, liftgate installation, and quality inspection activities.
• Follow all Wabash Nationals WPO guidelines and attain necessary certifications.
• Work in a team environment and read work orders thoroughly.
• Check the VIN on vehicles to ensure correct components for assigned jobs.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Install liftgates of all makes and models.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Advanced mechanical and 12v electrical skills with welding experience.
• Experience in truck body or equipment manufacturing repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with minimal supervision.
• Capability to work off scaffolding up to twelve feet.
• Must have a current driver’s license.
