Responsibilities

• Operates specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products while meeting specifications and quality control standards.
• Calculates and derives dimensional information from drawings.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Reads, understands, and communicates written and verbal instructions.
• Completes required paperwork accurately.
• Performs SPC/quality checks using measurement tools.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment according to safety guidelines.
• Participates in improvement activities.
• Performs a minimum of 75% of jobs at the required rate.
• Reads and understands routings/drawings to produce parts to quality expectations.
• Rotates through department work stations based on business needs.
• Sets up, loads, and operates manufacturing equipment.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Demonstrates flexibility to work varied hours as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in accessing and using information system computer databases.
• Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
• Preferred advanced math skills related to operating advanced systems.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team and adapt to a changing environment.
