Overview

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman - Manufacturing to oversee the installation of HVAC piping systems in commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned crew members.
• Attend weekly Shop Scheduling and Production meetings in-person.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor project Manufacturing Shop progress and communicate updates.
• Maintain accurate records including daily timekeeping and safety documentation.
• Inspect work in progress and upon completion for compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers and support groups to resolve issues.
• Ensure crew members follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices and journeymen.
• Identify potential issues or delays and communicate them proactively.
• Ensure Manufacturing Shops are kept clean, organized, and secure.
• Perform other duties as required to support project success.
• Provide accurate projections for job completion.
• Willingness to learn and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of HVAC Piping experience.
• In-depth understanding of codes, commercial HVAC systems, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and scheduling practices.
• Proficient in tools and trade math.
• Ability to manage personnel and enforce company policies.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and scheduling tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in multiple types of piping systems and connection methods.
• Knowledge in Pipe Welding, an ASME qualification is a plus.
• Knowledge of DX piping is preferred.
• Will be required to work hands on with the crew.
• Manage, coordinate and schedule Sub Contractors under your specific trade.
