The Adjunct Welding Professor at Midlands Technical College is responsible for maintaining high teaching standards, preparing instructional materials, and effectively communicating with students. Responsibilities
- Communicate and interact effectively with students enrolled in courses.
- Prepare materials needed for course instruction and testing.
- Keep student records and adhere to course schedules.
- Use learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
- Participate in the collection of student learning outcomes.
- Assist the Welding Technology program coordinator with supply and equipment notifications.
- Conduct lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities.
- Relate instruction and material to course objectives.
- Provide students with course syllabi and correlate grade assignments with competencies.
- Submit grades, reports, and records in a timely manner.
- Remain current in the field of Welding Technology.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of related construction experience.
- Broad knowledge of the Welding industry.
- Specific knowledge in teaching welding and welding techniques.
- Experience in GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW welding, Welding Stainless Steel, Welding Aluminum, and Welding Fabrication.
