Overview

TransTech is a leading provider of specialized infrastructure and custom-engineered equipment for diverse industries. The welder will be responsible for fabricating steel products, including ASME pressure vessels and related accessories, while adhering to strict safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
• Apply correct welds to workpieces based on welding symbols.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding.
• Operate standard hand tools and power tools for fabrication.
• Assess welded surfaces and components for errors.
• Set up welding machines to operate within approved parameters.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Visually inspect welds and make corrections with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to understand measurements.
• Experience in layout and fitting various vessel and piping components.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Experience with GMAW (MIG), FCAW (FLUXCORE), and SAW (SUBARC) welding processes.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pulsed MIG welding experience.
