Overview

Blue Origin is developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, aiming for millions of people to live and work in space. The Aerospace Welding Specialist role involves supporting robotic welding for the New Glenn rocket, requiring technical expertise and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic weld systems.
  • Perform manual blend operations across multiple positions.
  • Conduct precision drilling for internal tank installations.
  • Setup new production work areas, including layouts and tooling.
  • Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepancies through modification and repair.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Operate various material handling equipment as required.
  • Setup and operate precision calibrated tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions to support safety and organization.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing or integration.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work any shift and extended hours as needed.
  • Self-sufficient and driven.
  • Metallurgical knowledge.
  • Expert level in fabricating and using hand tools.

Additional Information

  • Relocation provided
  • Multiple shifts available: B Shift (Mon - Thu 3:00pm - 1:30am), C Shift (Fri - Sun 5:00am - 5:30pm), D Shift (Fri - Sun 5:00pm - 5:30am).
