Overview

The Pipe Welder position at Brady involves performing SMAW (stick) welding to support mechanical contracting and service operations. The company is a leading Trane® independent office providing efficient building solutions throughout central and eastern North Carolina, and is seeking to expand its team.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding on various commercial HVAC installation jobs.
• Provide welding instruction to the Welding Helpers if needed.
• Interpret piping diagrams related to the job.
• Communicate with lead man on supplies needed to complete project.
• Work in a team to rig and install necessary systems components.
• Maintain updated certification in welding.
• Assist other team members with job duties as necessary.
• Maintain service uniform wear to ensure compliance with company dress code.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values.
• Travel up to 50% of the time as required.
• Be available to work overtime/weekends as required.

Requirements

• High school or general education degree (GED) with certification in welding experience from an accredited trade school or institution.
• 1+ years of welding experience or training.
• Proficiency with computer devices and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS software.
• Must be able to pass internal welding test.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to prove US employment eligibility.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Additional Information
