Overview

The Production Laborer position at Carmeuse involves general plant labor, equipment operation, and maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment. Carmeuse is a leading global producer of lime and limestone products, dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Perform general plant labor and clean-up of production areas.
• Observe, monitor, and report conditions that could lead to product nonconformity.
• Be trained in various entry-level production tasks and fill in as needed.
• Report equipment problems to management.
• Complete equipment pre-shift and post-shift reports, if applicable.
• Clean work areas and shovel stone from around conveyors.
• Operate small front end loader, water truck, skid steer, and sweeper truck.
• Load material onto customer trucks and assist other workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of raw material loading experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to learn mechanical equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.

Additional Information

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
