Overview

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN) is a diversified international utility company committed to providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy and water solutions. The Utility Person II role involves responding to water-related issues and performing physical labor related to utility installations.

Responsibilities

• Responding to and investigating water leaks and no water complaints.
• Conducting hydrant flushing, water main and services mark outs, and meter changes.
• Performing outside physical labor related to the installation of piping, fire hydrants, services, and appurtenances.
• Using and operating various types of tools and equipment for utility installations and maintenance.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid New York State driver's license.
• Become computer literate and learn to work with the Mobile Work Management Program by the end of the probationary period.

Additional Information

• Hourly rate is $35.02.
• Work schedule may involve Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or a rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays.
