Overview

Granite Construction is looking for a Laborer to support concrete crews at various construction sites. This role offers on-the-job training and opportunities for personal and professional growth within a leading diversified construction company.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight line.
• Bolt, nail, align, and block up under forms.
• Signal operators of construction equipment for alignment and movement.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using pick and shovel.
• Mix concrete using a portable mixer.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete using float, trowel, or screed.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Perform various tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools.

Requirements

• Must have construction experience, heavy construction preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience required.
• Ability to follow specific directions.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties which may often change.
• Ability to work within standards of accuracy.
• Ability to evaluate information using measurable standards.
• Ability to work safely by choice.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
