Overview

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, has been providing quality supplies since 1953 and is currently seeking a Production Technician to join their Waterworks team. The company focuses on building better infrastructure and supporting their customers' complex projects with a commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the manufacture of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, and of desired quality.
• Pack, wrap, secure, or label containers as needed.
• Recognize and report any problems or deficiencies in the production process to management.
• Assist with installation and qualification of production equipment.
• Support safety programs, policies and practices that foster a safe work environment.
• May assist with planning shipping from the manufacturing location.
• Work on production assembly throughout the manufacturing process.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately.
• Effectively use standard hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, etc.).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures preferred.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and/or squatting.
• Ability to carry objects up to 50 lbs by hand and perform repetitive movement.
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
• Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
