Overview
The Operator Trainee position is an entry-level role within Sunoco Performance Products, focusing on 30” Still Operations. This role involves completing a comprehensive training program to gain the skills necessary for advancement to the Qualified Chief position while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete a 6 month to 1-year training curriculum composed of classroom and on-the-job training.
- Make and implement operational decisions under guidance from qualified personnel.
- Analyze operational anomalies and implement corrective actions.
- Perform assignments under the direction of the Sr. Mfg. Mgr. and qualified operators.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in refining operations.
- High School Education or equivalency.
- Must be able to obtain a Federal Government issued TWIC card.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for the state of residence.
- Successfully complete HES&S/PSM training and refresher training curriculum.
- Must acquire a thorough knowledge of current operating procedures and safety standards.
- Dependable and able to work with little or no supervision.
