The Estimator I prepares timely and accurate bid estimates for mid-size projects, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain bid documentation using historical data from past projects.
• Travel to job locations to confirm project site conditions.
• Assist field personnel in developing and recommending change orders.
• Ensure bid deadlines and customer presentation requirements are met.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating methodologies and tools.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders on planning and scheduling items.

Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed prints and specifications.
• Working knowledge of construction and relevant industry practices.
• Experience with computerized bidding software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Completion of H&M PMM training and some formal Project Management coursework.
• Moderately complex problem-solving skills.
• BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
