Overview

Hatch is seeking an Estimator to join their Project Delivery Group in Ambler, PA. The company has over 70 years of expertise in mining, energy, and infrastructure, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, and reports.
• Develop the estimate plan and initiate estimate kick-off meeting.
• Coordinate MTO deliverables with engineering.
• Deliver an accurate and comprehensive estimate in accordance with estimating procedures, standards, and practices.
• Perform bottom-up calculation of direct and indirect field costs.
• Establish project escalation and contingency requirements.
• Calculate cash expenditure and predicted escalation over project duration.
• Attend estimate review meetings.
• Issue the Basis of Estimate and prepare client estimate presentations.
• Monitor and upgrade the estimating database.
• Prepare and input to Gate Release Meetings.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in an estimating role, ideally on small/medium multi-discipline projects in an EPCM environment.
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with tools and estimating systems.
• Site experience would be an asset.
• Knowledge of EPC/LSTK estimating techniques.
• Commercial/contractual knowledge.
