Overview

Allan Myers is seeking a motivated Plant Operator to work at an Asphalt Production Facility. The role involves operating automated asphalt plant systems, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe working environment while contributing to large-scale heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant – automated drum and batch plant systems.
• Communicate with quality control personnel to ensure specifications are met.
• Monitor plant status and adjust as needed, loading out material onto dump trucks.
• Communicate with internal paving crews and project teams to maximize profits and minimize waste.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality and customer service.
• Keep plant running at optimal performance to avoid downtime.
• Ensure a safe working environment and participate in safety discussions.
• Schedule production needs for the following day and adjust current day schedule.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and reporting.
• Plan the following day’s production plan and order raw materials.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs on the plant.
• Operate equipment such as CAT 980 or 966 Loader, manlifts, material handlers, skid steers, and forklifts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic mechanical skills and basic knowledge of computers.
• Experience with mobile or stationary equipment is beneficial.
• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industries is beneficial.
