Overview

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking an Ironworker for a jobsite in Baytown, TX. OPD is an engineering and construction company specializing in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries, known for its integrity and efficiency in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications
• Practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation
• Use tools to adjust and fasten steel beams
• Lift and move heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment
• Attach loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment
• Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment
• Attach and detach loads effectively
• Communicate effectively with the rigging team
• Familiarity with standard crane hand signals
• Assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience as an ironworker
• Must follow company safety procedures and industry best practices
• Ability to wear an approved full body harness and lanyard on elevated platforms
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal)
• Willingness to travel with extended periods away from home
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
• Must meet all physical demands of the job
