Overview

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to join their Power team, offering the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the US. The company is a leader in engineering and consulting, focused on solving complex challenges and driving positive change globally.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of professionals and non-professionals or small groups of specialized engineers in the Power sector.
• Liaise with other discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Commit to and maintain project timelines.
• Document and track project tasks and related design documents.
• Prepare and/or verify design drawings and calculations.
• Prepare and/or verify procurement activities and deliverables.
• Prepare purchase requisition and review technical content of supplier bids.
• Perform required inspections for procurement of material.
• Monitor project schedule and budgets and report status regularly.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in structural engineering, specifically in structural steel and foundation design for high voltage substations and transmission lines.
• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and be licensed to practice as a professional engineer in California.
• Experience with transmission station structures and overhead transmission lines with operating voltages not less than 115 kV.
• Previous experience in the design of heavy industrial structures, preferably in the power industry.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, MathCAD, and Structural Analysis Software.
• Experience in business development and civil design is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, report writing, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others on multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• This position is remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
