Overview

DLR Group is an integrated design firm that focuses on elevating the human experience through design. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to participate in the design process of structural building systems and contribute to creating buildings that enhance the human experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design process of structural building systems from schematics through construction administration.
• Prepare detailed structural engineering drawings and perform design calculations.
• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop structural designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering.
• 0-5 years of buildings structural engineering experience, including the design of concrete, masonry, steel, and wood materials.
• Experience with gravity and lateral systems.
