The Interior Installation Technician 4 position at Gulfstream Aerospace in Long Beach involves working on aircraft interiors, including installation and fabrication, under limited supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality standards, and mentoring junior technicians while working a weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and/or fabrication.
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with procedures and quality specifications.
• Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians.
• Accept lead responsibilities and oversee projects or other technicians.
• Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand and track work.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment.
• Prepare and install aircraft interior items according to company standards.
• Remove and re-install fasteners used in aircraft interiors.
• Comply with safety and housekeeping policies.
• Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements.
• Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate projects with other departments.
• Work with lead technicians to develop process improvements.
• Make and use simple patterns for own use.
• Support aircraft certification and final phase testing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of applicable installation, fabrication or related experience.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment for installation and removal.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small areas, lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft installation and fabrication processes.
• Must be fluent in English.

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work Weekend Days shift: Friday-Sunday from 6:00am-6:30pm.
• Percentage of Travel: Up to 25%
