Overview
Tetra Tech is seeking a Marine and Waterfront Engineer to join their team in New York, focusing on innovative solutions in engineering and consulting to address complex challenges in water, environment, energy, and international development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical aspects of project deliverables, including contract drawings, specifications, cost estimates, permit applications, inspection reports, and calculation packages.
- Oversee the structural, coastal, and geotechnical engineering design of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct above-water inspections of marine structures.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, external consultants, government agencies, and internal teams, providing technical guidance and oversight.
Requirements
- BS or MS in civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, or coastal engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, such as SAP2000, RISA 3-D, Revit, AutoCAD, LPile, Optimoor, and Mathcad.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in marine and coastal design and inspection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (to include Word, Excel, Project) required.
