The Laborer position involves providing support for skilled crafts in underground and above ground piping projects, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to skilled crafts on the project.
• Install, repair, and maintain water, sewer, gas, and electrical piping.
• Lay pipe sections, dig and backfill trenches, and seal joints using hand or power tools.
• Prepare areas for concrete placement through excavation and grading.
• Assist in the assembly and stripping of concrete forms.
• Handle concrete buckets and muck concrete for even distribution.
• Support block masons by transporting materials and stocking blocks.
• Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames.
• Load, unload, and distribute building materials according to project plans.
• Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to follow safe work practices.
• Initiative and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Must provide own safety footwear.
