Overview

Join an innovative and collaborative team at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) as a Transportation Construct Technician, where you will work with bridge construction materials, performing inspections and laboratory testing to ensure quality standards are met for Arizona's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rebar cages and observe concrete placements.
• Verify quality standards in the field.
• Perform laboratory testing on construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Use specialized software for measurements and documentation.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Attend safety and partnering meetings.

Requirements

• Transportation Construction Technician 1: 1 year of job-related construction experience.
• Transportation Construction Technician 2: 2 years of job-related construction experience.
• Transportation Construction Technician 3: 3 years of job-related construction experience.
• American Concrete Institute and Arizona Technical Testing Institute Certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Valid class-appropriate driver's license.
