Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.
• Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested.
• Take direction from higher skilled workers or foreman.
• Utilize effective math skills to perform calculations.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, and unnecessary transport.
• Ask a supervisor before continuing if unsure about work or safety practices.
• Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work.
• Safely and effectively use work-related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods.
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials and tools.

Requirements

• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II), and three plus years' experience in industrial/commercial construction preferred.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
