As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will play a key role in designing complex facilities, ensuring the integration of structural design with other disciplines while contributing to innovative solutions that positively impact communities.
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis under general supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
- Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Apply principles and practices of seismic design in accordance with building codes.
- Exhibit attention to detail and quality control in your work.
- Check calculations of other engineers' work.
- Manage workload and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Lead a team in developing calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License (PE).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
