Overview

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Paint Technician A to prepare components and airframe surfaces for painting and perform painting in accordance with manufacturer procedures. The role involves ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preparation for painting, including repairs, sanding, taping, and surface preparation.
• Conduct initial inspections of components and parts to note defects before painting.
• Perform stripe layout as specified by the customer and masking per part drawing.
• Use various hand tools, power equipment, and measuring devices for painting.
• Ensure completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
• Refinish repaired components according to customer and factory standards.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support and train other employees with technical knowledge and skills.
• Maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Some Trade School preferred.
• Minimum of four years of painting and paint preparation experience on metal and composite/fiberglass components required.
• Minimum of four years of painting and paint preparation experience on metal and composite/fiberglass aircraft components preferred.
• Strong paint skills required.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and Bills of Material (BOM) required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required.

Additional Information

• 10% domestic and international travel required.
• 100% onsite position.
• Personal Protective Equipment required includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves.
