Overview

The Orbital Weld Prep Operator position is an entry-level role focused on the fabrication and orbital welding of tubing assemblies made from materials like Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Inconel. The job requires no prior experience and operates on an AM shift from Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate tube assemblies using saws, end finishers, and hand tools.
  • Use calibrated measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Pre-clean and prepare tubes and fittings using buffers and hand tools.
  • Read and understand blueprints and customer data.
  • Manually tack weld fittings using a TIG welder.
  • Set up the orbital weld machine with appropriate tooling.
  • Perform orbital welding of fittings to tubes using automated equipment.
  • Visually inspect welds to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on departmental equipment.
  • Complete other reasonable duties as needed.

Additional Information

  • AM Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00AM - 3:30PM
  • Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 an hour depending on experience
