Overview

Universal Technical Institute is seeking an experienced Welder to become a Welding Instructor, providing an opportunity to mentor the next generation of welders. The role involves hands-on teaching and curriculum development in a supportive environment focused on student success.

Responsibilities

  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students.
  • Lead practical demonstrations to provide real-world experience.
  • Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop courses.
  • Guide and mentor students on individual projects.
  • Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of practical work experience in welding.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, stick and flux-cored welding processes.
  • Proficiency in oxy-acetylene torch work and plasma cutting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
