Overview

The SHIPFITTER (WELDER) position involves providing crane maintenance and repair services in the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT at TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. The role requires expertise in fitting, fabricating, and welding various metal parts and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance to TRIREFFAC-KB Category I, II, and III cranes.
• Repair, overhaul, or modify equipment involving complicated systems on portal, dock, and gantry cranes.
• Fit, fabricate, design, modify, repair, assemble, and install metal and metal alloy parts and structures.
• Perform planning, layout, and fitting work for repair and construction projects.
• Execute welds using various welding processes in multiple positions on different types of metal.
• Identify types of metals to prevent distortion during the shaping process.
• Operate welding equipment, stud machines, power tools, and other common trade tools.
