Overview

Metro Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Lead Hand Railing Fabricator with welding experience. The company values a strong work ethic and offers an opportunity to learn a high-level trade while working in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate guard railing from raw materials to finished product.
• Fabricate various other metal fabrications including stairs, small weldments, and light structural.
• Ability to layout rails.
• Ability to make jigs/fixtures for higher quantity railing jobs if needed.
• Perform various pre-fabrication operations including using vertical band saw, chop saw, shear, press brake, drilling, and punching holes.
• Use electric grinders.
• TIG weld aluminum hand railing and various weldments.
• TIG weld stainless hand railing and various weldments.
• Transport, manipulate, and use a sit-down liquid propane powered 6000# forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.

Requirements

• Must live within 35 miles.
• Must have 5 years experience in the industry.
• Must have 5 years of experience fabricating hand rails.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience reading prints.
• Must have 2 years experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• MIG welding abilities required.
• TIG welding abilities preferred.
• Various pre-fabrication operations experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Overhead crane operation experience.
• High school diploma preferred.

• Work hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM and Friday 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
