Overview
The Welding Engineering Intern - Tamheer position involves supporting manufacturing activities on projects in line with industry and company standards. The intern will assist in welding calculations, improvement projects, and provide technical support to the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Support in welding hours calculations and capability/capacity reviews.
- Assist in improvement projects in the weldshop as manufacturing engineer support.
- Review and interpret customer/industrial specifications.
- Provide technical recommendations to the design engineering team at the design review stage.
- Participate in department discussions relating to technical issues and lessons learned.
- Show commitment to QHSE through participation in safety and quality initiatives.
- Understand the workflow for the control of machining documentation and issuance of machining procedures for a project.
- Ensure DFX is performed.
- Involve in audits preparation for adherence to codes and specifications.
- Support tenders and product engineering quotation activities.
- Attend daily meetings on Notification Review Board (NRB), Obeya, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in material science, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
- No required experience.
- Keen in learning new things, cooperative, and with a positive attitude.
- Skills in communication and adaptability.
