Job Responsibilities • Perform heavy fabrication tasks according to drawings and specifications. • Understand plans and specifications to determine correct setup and welding processes. • Set up and execute welding processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards. • Maintain quality and accuracy in fabricated components. • Utilise hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and measuring instruments. • Operate power tools including buffing wheels, drills, polishers, and grinders. • Align parts using precision tools and instruments. • Weld using GMAW and FCAW methods, and operate oxyacetylene and plasma cutting equipment. • Perform flame heating and bending as needed. • Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Preferred Qualifications • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent. • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. • Ability to work independently within a small team environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
