Overview

As a Welder at Honeywell, you will work on a team ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding operations, reporting directly to the Welding Supervisor in Palmetto, FL. This role involves performing various welding tasks, conducting inspections, and maintaining equipment while adhering to high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct welding operations in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as necessary.
  • Inspect welds for defects, maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Mentor and train junior welders to enhance their skills and ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW on materials such as aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, aluminum welding experience is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and specifications; familiarity with AWS welding symbols is required.
  • Basic understanding of math, geometry, and angles; adept in using the metric system.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Additional Information

  • Training on 1st shift for an initial period before transitioning to 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm).
