Overview
A Combo Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assisting in the installation of various types of equipment and supports for industrial systems. The role requires knowledge of welding techniques and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
- Layouts, positions, aligns, cuts, assembles, and fits metal components.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure them for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding equipment.
- Welds metal materials to piping systems using appropriate procedures.
- Identifies all equipment for the job and process.
- Identifies all safety risks and requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a weld test.
- Must have 4+ years of industrial welding experience.
- Must have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have all the necessary tools.
- Must be able to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Must have thorough knowledge of various metals and their welding processes.
- Must have experience welding multiple types of materials.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work at heights as required.
- Must meet all physical demands.
